About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team for major infrastructure projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and supporting project teams in achieving timely and efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop baseline programmes in line with project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and update project schedules, tracking progress against key milestones.
  • Analyse schedule delays, disruptions, and variances, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports in compliance with reporting formats.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather schedule data and provide planning support.
  • Coordinate with client representatives to ensure approval of schedules, extensions of time (EOTs), and project reporting requirements.
  • Integrate cost and resource loading into project schedules where applicable.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and advise the project team on key schedule risks.
  • Ensure planning and scheduling activities align with RTA guidelines and procedures.
  • Support tender submissions with detailed planning inputs and resource allocation strategies.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PMP, PSP, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • Experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Planning Engineer in infrastructure or road projects.
  • Proven track record in RTA-approved projects within Dubai.
  • Experience in handling RTA processes, approvals, and reporting formats.


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Primavera and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, critical path analysis, and earned value management (EVM).
  • Familiarity with RTA project standards, codes, and documentation requirements.


Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
