Pickup Driver (225-904)

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Pickup Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires an individual who is punctual, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of road safety regulations. As a Pickup Driver, you will play a crucial part in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle conditions, and representing the company positively during interactions with clients and the public. Responsibilities

• Safely transport goods to specified destinations following company and state regulations.
• Maintain constant communication with dispatchers to ensure efficient route planning.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Load and unload freight in a safe and efficient manner to prevent damage.
• Keep accurate logs and records of trips, deliveries, and client interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns professionally.
• Ensure that all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Adhere to all applicable traffic laws and safety procedures at all times.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, both inside and out, at all times.
• Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authorities immediately.
• Participate in any required training programs to enhance driving skills.
• Assist with route planning and delivery scheduling when necessary to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a Pickup Driver or similar delivery role preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy parcels safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Good communication skills for liaising with dispatchers and customers.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required for consideration.
