Orthopaedic Surgeon

The Orthopaedic Surgeon is responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. They perform surgical procedures, prescribe treatment plans, and provide orthopaedic care to patients. The role involves evaluating patient medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic test results. Orthopaedic Surgeons may specialize in areas such as sports medicine, trauma, or joint replacement.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions through surgical and non-surgical methods.
• Perform orthopaedic surgeries, such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, and arthroscopic procedures.
• Prescribe medication, physical therapy, and other treatment plans to aid patient recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Educate patients on preventive measures and lifestyle modifications for maintaining musculoskeletal health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and radiologists, for comprehensive patient care.
• Stay updated on advancements in orthopaedic treatments and surgical techniques.
• Conduct research and participate in medical conferences and seminars.

• Medical degree (MBBS or MD) with specialization in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Completion of a residency and fellowship program in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Valid medical license and board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Strong knowledge of orthopaedic surgical techniques and treatments.
