Responsibilities

Operate and maintain phlebotomy instruments, equipment, and laboratory tools effectively.
Adhere strictly to health and safety standards at all times during work.
Manage laboratory logistics such as specimen transport and documentation tasks.
Enter accurate patient data and test requisitions into laboratory computer systems.
Provide guidance and assistance to patients before and after collecting blood samples.
Prepare blood samples for analysis or further procedures as required by the lab.
Stay updated with advancements and changes in the field of phlebotomy.
Schedule patient appointments, ensuring minimal wait times and streamlined service.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure item availability for procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate in phlebotomy preferred.
Phlebotomy certification obtained from a recognized accrediting institution required.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.
Attention to detail is critical for accurate labeling and documentation purposes.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Experience with laboratory information management systems and specimen handling techniques.
Compliant with best practices in safety and infection control measures.
Possess manual dexterity and eye coordination for precise sample collection.
