Mobile Crane Operator (225-904)

Our construction company is looking for a dedicated and experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating mobile cranes to lift, move, position, and re-position loads. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of machine mechanics and the ability to ensure safety is always a top priority. You should be comfortable with the physical demands of the role and need to work well under pressure and in various weather conditions. As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will play a crucial part in the smooth and efficient completion of construction projects by expertly maneuvering and controlling the crane to load and unload materials safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position loads effectively on construction sites.
• Inspect cranes and other equipment for safety compliance and operational issues daily.
• Follow all safety regulations and practices to ensure the wellbeing of yourself and the team.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other workers to plan crane operations efficiently.
• Handle machinery controls skillfully to perform tasks in a safe and precise manner.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot crane equipment problems as they arise.
• Understand load charts and lifting requirements to select appropriate equipment settings.
• Maintain documentation of crane operations, including daily logs and maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with ground crew to ensure accurate hand signals and instructions.
• Ensure all lifting gear and equipment is thoroughly examined before every lift.
• Adhere to all legal and company safety regulations while operating cranes on site.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a mobile crane operator or similar role in construction.
• Valid crane operator certification from a recognized institution or governing body.
• Strong knowledge of crane operation and safety protocols in a construction setting.
• Excellent coordination, mechanical skills, and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills.
• Physical stamina and strength for demanding tasks and prolonged periods of operation.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and flexible with working hours.
