Job Description

An Aluminum Estimator plays a critical role in the construction and manufacturing industries, tasked with estimating the costs associated with aluminum materials, fabrication, and installation. This position requires a deep understanding of aluminum properties, market trends, and pricing strategies. The Aluminum Estimator works closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to assess project requirements and ensure cost-effective solutions are proposed. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential traits for success in this role. This position also demands proficiency in relevant software applications and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.


Responsibilities

  •  Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and other tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.

    Conduct material take-offs to determine the quantities of aluminum, glass, and other materials required.

    · Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for aluminum and glass systems.

    · Analyze and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes to secure competitive pricing.

    · Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to get up-to-date material and system pricing.

    · Maintain and update a database of standard rates, material costs, and pricing trends.

    · Collaborate with construction teams to ensure the cost-effectiveness and feasibility of projects.

    · Provide detailed reports and financial forecasts to management.

    . Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in estimating for aluminum and glass works.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of aluminum materials and fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and cost analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier and client interactions.
