Job Description

As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, installation, and maintenance of systems that are critical to the functionality and efficiency of buildings and infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure that your work optimizes the sustainability, safety, and performance of the building projects you are involved in across both the private and public sectors. You will be expected to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including architects, project managers, and design engineers, to develop comprehensive engineering strategies and solutions. Your innovation and problem-solving skills will be crucial in addressing complex engineering challenges, and you will often need to stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure that the MEP systems meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your contribution will be essential in delivering projects that are not only functional but also environmentally responsible and economically viable.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building projects.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines on project designs.
  • Develop project plans and specifications to guide the installation of MEP systems.
  • Review and approve technical drawings and specifications from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation and planning.
  • Oversee commissioning and startup of MEP systems to verify operational performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving to address project challenges and issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest regulations, codes, and industry standards in MEP engineering.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation for completed projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Implement energy-efficient practices and technologies to enhance system sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline required.
  • Proven experience working on MEP systems design and installation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities essential.
