As Medical Governance Specialist, you will support the effective governance and operational delivery of Medical Benefits (MB) by ensuring policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently applied and maintained. The role involves administering projects, managing updates to schemes and processes, and supporting risk and compliance activities through data analysis and documentation.
In This Role You Will
Support the development and implementation of the medical governance framework, including policies, audits, and eligibility criteria, ensuring alignment with external regulations (DHA, MOH, GCAA) and best practices.
Apply evidence-based guidelines to support consistent policy application for pre-approvals, appeals, and claims adjudication, and contribute to updates in adjudication logic and benefit plans in response to regulatory or operational changes.
Monitor compliance and risk by analysing trends, supporting disease management initiatives, and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
Provide technical and analytical support to improve operational processes, enhance system integration, and design automated dashboards and reports for standardised management reporting.
Assist with medical claims reconciliation processes, including coordination with direct billing network providers and ensuring accuracy in financial and claims data.
Collaborate across teams to support policy and process improvements, manage provider tariffs, drive operational efficiency, and contribute to governance and ad hoc projects.
Drive efficiency, cost control, and quality by ensuring timely implementation of changes, maintaining up-to-date materials, and collaborating effectively across teams and with external partners. Maintain accurate, compliant documentation on online platforms, ensuring all published content is up to date and audit-ready.
Qualification
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Degree in a relevant healthcare field with relevant experience (medical, medical insurance etc.)
Experience as a medical doctor, including 3 years of clinical practice experience and 2 years working in the medical insurance sector.
Youll Have An Edge If You Have
Knowledge of claim examination procedures and standard insurance procedures.
Knowledge of company insurance schemes and the reimbursement and benefits system would be an advantage.
Knowledge of web based tools such as SharePoint and Business Intelligence
