The Manager of Budgeting and Planning is entrusted with a pivotal role in the financial ecosystem of the organization. This accomplished professional is responsible for crafting strategic financial plans and overseeing budgeting processes that align with the company's long-term goals. As a driving force in financial decision-making, the Manager of Budgeting and Planning works closely with department heads to gather financial data, analyze trends, and forecast financial performance. They ensure that all financial plans are practical, achievable, and aligned with the organization's mission and objectives. This role demands a combination of financial acumen, analytical prowess, and strategic foresight to provide leadership in the budgeting and planning domain. The ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders is essential, as is the capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing financial environment. 


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive budgeting processes across multiple departments.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to gather and analyze financial data effectively.
  • Create financial forecasts and models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment of financial plans with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances and financial performance regularly.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for executive leadership teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead budgeting teams and provide mentorship to junior financial analysts.
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
  • Communicate complex financial insights in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Manage financial risks by monitoring market trends and potential impacts.
  • Coordinate with auditors for efficient financial audits and compliance checks.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of annual budgets and financial plans.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five years experience in budgeting and financial planning roles.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling and analytical methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing financial teams effectively.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments efficiently.
