Job Description

As an ELV Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and integration, playing a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of extra-low voltage (ELV) systems, which encompass a variety of telecommunications, data, security, and automation systems. Your expertise in these fields will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Working closely with clients, architects, and subcontractors, you will interpret specifications, develop comprehensive designs, and oversee installation processes, ensuring that each project meets both technical requirements and client expectations. Your proactive problem-solving abilities and attention to detail will drive continuous improvement in every phase of the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to final delivery and post-installation support. 


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ELV systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with architects and subcontractors to integrate ELV designs into construction plans.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for execution.
  • Manage project timelines and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Supervise installation teams, monitoring progress and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installation and testing phases.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards throughout all project stages.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and purchase materials and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users post-installation.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and documentation to stakeholders as needed.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to ensure cutting-edge solutions.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ELV systems design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software essential for the role.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications, audio-visual, and security systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Certification in PMP or other relevant project management credential is preferred.
  • Availability to travel to project sites as required for inspections and meetings.
  • Proactive in continuous professional development within the ELV industry.
