Job Description

As an  Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the complete supply chain process within the Middle East and Africa regions. You will coordinate the implementation of logistical systems, optimize supply network operations, and ensure timely distribution of goods. This role requires a strategic thinker who is adept at problem-solving and capable of navigating complex logistics scenarios. Your primary objective will be to meet quality standards and customer satisfaction while minimizing logistical costs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify potential cost-saving opportunities and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity. With an emphasis on compliance, you will ensure all logistics operations adhere to regional regulatory standards and international trade laws. Communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will liaise with multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and internal departments, to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies for the MEA region.
  • Coordinate and monitor the supply chain and logistics operations efficiently.
  • Ensure alignments of logistics activities with compliance and trade regulations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, assessing performance and risks regularly.
  • Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs across the supply chain.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supply chain processes and enhance productivity.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train logistics staff within the assigned region.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet logistics performance targets.
  • Control inventory levels and ensure timely availability of goods and services.
  • Analyze logistics data to prepare detailed reports on key performance metrics.
  • Manage contracts and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective supply solutions.
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are implemented and followed diligently.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics processes, operations, and regulations in MEA.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale logistics projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical skills required for data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with budget management and cost optimization strategies is necessary.
  • Certification in logistics such as APICS, CPIM, or CSCMP is a valuable asset.
  • Willingness to travel within the region to oversee operations as needed.
  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to influence at all levels.
