Job Description

The IT Support role is a critical part of ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations within an organization. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing both hardware and software components to ensure the organization’s systems operate effectively. As an IT Support specialist, you will be the first point of contact for all technology-related issues and will work proactively and reactively to resolve issues, answer queries, and provide technical assistance to users. You are expected to have excellent communication skills, as you will frequently interact with various employees, including those with limited technological expertise. Your dynamic problem-solving abilities will aid you in resolving technical challenges efficiently, and your skill in documenting solutions will be invaluable for maintaining reliable systems.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and resolve computer system issues for employees.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on company devices.
  • Perform regular system updates, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor IT systems and respond promptly to system impact alerts.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network systems.
  • Document technical procedures and support incidents for future reference.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve system processes and user experience.
  • Guide users through step-by-step solutions to resolve IT problems.
  • Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending new technologies for the company.
  • Provide training sessions and workshops on new applications and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role or similar technical position.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware systems and network configurations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting issues.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk and remote desktop applications and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
