The JD STAR Program, launched by JD.com in 2015, is an annual recruitment initiative targeting fresh graduates from top universities worldwide. This program aims to nurture talent by placing high-potential graduates in roles that support JD.coms fast growing business and empowering them through extensive training and coaching. International BD
TeamStarted in December 2023, the International BD Team currently has three members: Amanda Thirsk (Head, London), Ellie Nye (VP, London) and Noemie de Dianous (VP, Paris).
The Team works at the Group level, supporting the full range of JD.coms businesses with their international expansion.
The Teams core roles are to:
Support JD.com in developing and building its presence in targeted international markets by building strategic relationships and identifying and supporting opportunities.
Build JD.com’s relationships with businesses and key stakeholders, bringing value to the Group.
Engage with Brands to build JD Retail’s Brand portfolio to offer our 600 million customers more products.

About the Role
The International BD Team is looking for an new team member to support its ongoing projects. The position will cover a diverse range of activities and involve engagement with various stakeholders across the business and externally.

Key Responsiblities
Brand Engagements:Target international brands across various industries to expand the Groups retail businessess product portfolios.
Engage with internal China-based Business teams to develop opportunities, narrative and pitch materials for the Business Development Team.
Assist the team in partnering with international trade organizations, chambers of commerce, and other stakeholders to identify and engage with prospective clients.
International Strategic Projects:
Help support the development and growth of the International Business Development activity.
Assist in identifying, evaluating and progressing partnership opportunities for JD.com’s businesses.
Conduct industry/competitive research and analysis to inform the Groups strategic decisions.

Administrative support:
Provide general administrative support to the team, including helping the team organise meetings, scheduling, and coordinating office logistics.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and timely task completion.

Candidate Requirements
Bachelor-level student.
Strong doer with a hands-on mindset and a proven ability to take initiative and get things done.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
Fluency in English is required.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Good team player with an ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
