Job Description

As an Inbound Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining and optimizing our company's supply chain processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire inbound logistics, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from suppliers to our warehouses. Your primary goal will be to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution, to enhance supply chain strategies and implement effective solutions. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of inbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast stock needs and manage inventory levels.
  • Monitor vendor performance and work with suppliers to resolve any delivery issues.
  • Analyze data and key metrics to identify areas for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with warehousing staff to manage storage and distribution effectively.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Lead, train, and mentor supply chain team members to enhance productivity.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain activities to senior management.
  • Continuously seek innovative solutions to improve inbound supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a supply chain management role with inbound logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-standard safety and environmental regulations.
