Freelance Web Developer

We are seeking a Web Developer to build the MVP of MatchMade, a browser-based matchmaking game and event platform. MatchMade connects participants at real-life events in cafés and restaurants by combining in-person interaction with a digital matchmaking experience. The MVP will deliver the core user journey from event discovery to ticket purchase and matchmaking results, enabling the product’s first pilot launch.

Deliverables

• Mobile-optimized web application with responsive design for seamless use on smartphones.
• User features:
• Event browsing and details page.
• Ticket purchasing with integrated payment gateway.
• Profile creation with personal details and preferences.
• Likert-scale questionnaire (12–15 statements) for compatibility matching.
• Real-time display of top three matches with compatibility explanations.
• Admin features:
• Event creation and management.
• Ticket management and sales overview.
• Backend services: Integration with a database solution (e.g., Supabase, Firebase, or similar).
• Deployment: Production-ready hosting with basic maintenance support.
• Delivery timeline: 4–6 weeks for initial piloting.

Requirements

• Experience building responsive web applications with modern frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, or similar).
• Proficiency with backend integration (Supabase, Firebase, Node.js, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of secure payment system integration (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
• Ability to design and implement matching logic based on questionnaire data.
• Familiarity with admin dashboards and user management tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to propose realistic timelines, technical solutions, and maintenance plans.
• Willingness to deliver within the MVP scope (no need for QR check-in, geofencing, or multilingual support at this stage).
• Junior to mid-level developers are encouraged, provided you can demonstrate reliability and delivery capability.
