Forklift Operator (225-813)

A Forklift Operator is a skilled and crucial member of any warehouse or production facility team. This role involves operating a forklift to transport, load, and unload goods and materials in a safe and efficient manner. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that production schedules and shipping deadlines are met by moving products within the site and between storage facilities. You will be expected to adhere to all safety guidelines and operational protocols to ensure all tasks are executed without incident. Your keen operational skills and attention to detail will contribute to the daily smooth flow of warehouse operations, ensuring that goods are stored and moved accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Ensure loads are secure and safely stacked before transporting them on-site.
• Perform routine pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist in inventory management by transporting goods to designated locations.
• Coordinate with team members to optimize logistics and workflow processes.
• Record and maintain accurate logs and reports of material movements and operations.
• Participate in regular safety training and performance review sessions.
• Respond to directions from supervisors and adhere to daily work schedules.
• Keep work areas free from litter and maintain organized storage of materials.
• Report any malfunctions, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position.
• Valid forklift operator certification from a recognized training program.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and protocols for warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety protocols.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
