Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team and bring enthusiasm, passion, and expertise in fitness education to our fitness center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of exercise techniques, nutrition, and wellness, striving to create a motivating and supportive environment for all members. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for leading group fitness classes, providing personalized fitness training, and developing engaging programming for varied fitness levels. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be encouraging clients to reach their health and fitness goals. Your commitment to health and wellness will contribute to creating an inspiring fitness community.


Responsibilities

  • Create and implement comprehensive fitness programs tailored to each client's needs and goals.
  • Lead and instruct group fitness classes with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Assess clients' fitness levels and track progress toward their individual goals.
  • Provide clients with safe and effective exercise progressions and regressions.
  • Educate clients on proper exercise techniques to prevent injury and improve performance.
  • Offer nutritional guidance in alignment with each client’s fitness objectives.
  • Develop engaging class content that keeps participants motivated and challenged.
  • Maintain a clean and organized fitness environment for all clients and team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest fitness trends and continuously improve professional skills.
  • Promote a welcoming fitness community through active client engagement and support.
  • Ensure all fitness instruction complies with the center's policies and safety standards.
  • Provide feedback and encouragement to help clients overcome challenges and achieve goals.

Requirements

  • Certified fitness instructor with a recognized qualification in health and fitness.
  • Proven experience in leading a range of group fitness classes and personal training.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire clients to perform at their best and achieve goals.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and early mornings.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
