Job Purpose

The Finance Manager – General Ledger will assume full responsibility for the accounting and statutory reporting of designated entities within the ELR portfolio. The role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Group accounting policies and IFRS standards. The candidate will oversee the integrity of the general ledger, manage external audits, and drive consistency and quality in financial practices across entities, ensuring full alignment with both internal and external regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the GL team overseeing a group of entities, ensuring cohesion and efficiency.
• Implement financial accounting policies in accordance with Group standards and IFRS guidelines.
• Review and reconcile GL accounts to ensure accurate reflection in financial statements. Additionally, conduct secondary reviews of AP/AR/Inventory balances.
• Establish and enforce controls to safeguard the accuracy of financial data, ensuring compliance and integrity.
• Carry out financial month closing activities within strict timelines.
• Reporting of monthly financial results for the entity with explanation on any exceptional items.
• Reporting of quarterly results to Parent company as per guidelines.
• Managing Statutory audits

Required Qualification and Experience

• Minimum 5 years in a Finance function with hands-on involvement in major accounting streams – AP/GL.
• A graduate of Accountancy, Commerce or related degree.
• Qualified Accountant (CPA/CA/ACA/ACCA) knowledgeable in IFRS.
• Proficient internal and external communicator with a knack for building robust relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in managing audits or preparing audit schedules

Preferred Skills:

• Previous work experience in the UAE.
