Job Description

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in an organization, steering the financial direction and ensuring the financial health of the company. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial policies, preparing financial reports, and leading a team to ensure the organization meets its financial targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exemplary financial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Commitment to maintaining ethical financial practices and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements is a must for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage annual budgeting and forecasting processes for all departments.
  • Oversee and streamline accounting operations, including balance sheets and financial audits.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, both locally and internationally.
  • Lead financial planning activities to support strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audit processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and maintain accuracy in reporting.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for financial stability and sustainable growth of the business.
  • Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure an adequate cash balance is maintained and unnecessary expenditures are curtailed.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and assess risk factors impacting financial decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial management roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems, such as SAP or QuickBooks, and MS Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, budgeting, and financial analysis principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience in managing and developing a finance team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset for decision-making purposes.
