Job Description

The Finance Manager plays a critical role in driving the financial success of an organization. This position is responsible for managing the company's finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, recordkeeping, and financial reporting. The Finance Manager ensures that all financial operations are conducted in a legal, efficient, and ethical manner. They analyze financial data to identify trends and provide financial insights that support strategic planning and decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting, financial policies, and procedures, as well as advanced analytical skills. The Finance Manager is also responsible for liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies and ensuring that the company's financial practices align with regulations and standards.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans for business growth.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
  • Manage the budgeting process and oversee cost management initiatives.
  • Monitor cash flows and predict future financial trends for sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Analyze market trends to identify financial growth opportunities and risks.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure effective financial management practices.
  • Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders as needed.
  • Review financial policies and procedures for efficiency improvements.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on detailed financial analysis and projections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial management roles.
  • Proven experience with financial systems and accounting software applications.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a finance team.
  • Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is considered an asset.
