The Finance Assistant is a pivotal role within the financial department, responsible for supporting the operations and efficiency of the organization's financial activities. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets for various departments.
  • Process financial transactions including invoices, payments, and expense claims regularly.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all documents are filed properly.
  • Assist in monthly and yearly closing procedures by preparing financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.
  • Assist the finance team in conducting audits and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Support in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to help forecast financial needs and manage expenditures.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide assistance to staff and vendors regarding finance matters.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to track the status of various financial operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
  • Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and financial software.
  • Strong analytical skills with a penchant for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
