Job Description

The Field Service Technician is a crucial team member responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance for a variety of equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise, a thorough understanding of mechanical systems, and excellent problem-solving skills. The Field Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair machinery, ensuring that it operates efficiently and meets safety standards. Working in different environments, this position demands adaptability, technical acumen, and effective communication with clients to ensure complete satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular service and maintenance of equipment per company guidelines.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Install, configure, and test new equipment at various client sites.
  • Provide technical support and training for clients on equipment usage.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment performance and design.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations when handling machinery.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for field service operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Travel to various client locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide efficient troubleshooting.
  • Advise clients on operational improvements and preventative maintenance practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in industrial settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to client sites.
