Job Summary:

As part of EDGE Group’s International Operations team, the Senior Project Controller will support the Project Controls function across a portfolio of high-profile, multi-national defence programs. This role undertakes the set-up and execution of robust project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management activities, in line with company and industry best practices, to deliver projects to global customers on time and within budget. The role also supports project decision-making by providing timely and insightful analytics and reporting to support successful project outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Use Strategic & Functional Leadership
  • Setup and implement project controls processes, and tools in line with defined processes and procedures tailored to complex international defence programs.
  • Take the lead on Project Control activities on individual projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams across EDGE business units.
  • Integrated Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) for international programs using Microsoft Project.
  • Perform critical path analyses, and scenario planning to support project decision-making.
  • Align schedules to contract milestones, customer delivery requirements, and internal R&D phases.
  • Project Cost Management & EVM
  • Establish project budgets and control accounts in coordination with Program Managers and Finance.
  • Track actual costs vs. planned budgets, forecast Estimate at Completion (EAC), and manage cost variances proactively.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Maintain project risk and opportunity registers and support the Senior Portfolio Controls Manager in performing risk identification workshops.
  • Support the development of quantitative risk analysis to model schedule and cost impacts.
  • Monitor mitigation actions and escalate critical risks to senior management within International Projects Execution team.
  • Reporting & Governance
  • Maintain project dashboards, performance reports, and KPI’s as required for the project execution team.
  • Ensure timely data-driven insights to enable proactive decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance
  • Support initiatives to improve project controls tools and processes across EDGE’s International Programs.
  • Identify non-compliance with internal policies, contractual requirements, and export control regulations.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and lessons learned initiatives.
  • Supporting Accountabilities
  • Undertake other assignments from time to time, depending on the needs of the Business.
  • Support development of Process & Procedures that are attuned to the International Programs Organization.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in project controls, including at least 3 years in defense, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors with exposure to international programs.
  • Experience in project cost control techniques, Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated master scheduling.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, SAP and cost control systems.
  • Experience in national and/ or international projects and global supply chains.
  • Experience of International Programs preferable.
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk analysis preferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g. PMI, PMP, APM)
