Job Description

An Estimator for Exhibition Interior plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of interior projects for exhibitions. This position requires a blend of creativity and numerical skills to assess project costs accurately and efficiently. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates based on design specifications, collaborating closely with sales and design teams to align client expectations with budget constraints, and ensuring all costs are accounted for in the bidding process. Successful candidates must possess excellent analytical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. This role demands effective communication to interact with various stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to gather necessary information for preparing comprehensive bids. The Estimator will be instrumental in ensuring that projects are not only financially viable but also align seamlessly with the desired aesthetic and functional objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze design specifications and prepare detailed and accurate project cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with sales, design, and project management teams to meet client expectations and budgets.
  • Research and source reliable vendors and suppliers for accurate cost inputs.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive bids and proposals to potential clients.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits for accurate project assessments.
  • Update and maintain cost databases and estimation tools for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze historical data and apply benchmarking techniques to improve future estimates.
  • Monitor and report on budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor bid packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in post-project evaluations to refine estimation techniques and processes.
  • Keep abreast with industry trends and cost-saving innovations to optimize project budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in exhibition or interior design sectors.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret detailed technical information.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
