Job Description

An electrician is a highly skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in homes, businesses, and industrial settings. These experts are vital in ensuring that buildings have safe and reliable electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure efficient system operations.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete electrical installations and repairs.
  • Maintain records and reports of work completed for future reference and inspection purposes.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure electrical tasks complement overall project goals.
  • Provide emergency repair services during unexpected electrical system failures or accidents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further professional electrical certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in electrical installations and repairs.
  • Proficient knowledge of national electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit designs for projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in complex troubleshooting.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for managing precise electrical tasks.
  • Good physical condition and ability to work in confined or elevated spaces safely.
