What You’ll Do

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing low voltage electrical distribution systems, with a focus around systems engineering, automation and applications across a variety of projects, working in design software and engineering tools to provide optimized and de-risked proposals:

  • Design and develop low voltage electrical systems and components for automation projects.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
  • Select appropriate electrical components and materials for system design.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during the development and testing phases.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities
  • Liaise and support with multiple internal stakeholders inclusive of product line management and front end solutions architects


Qualifications

  • University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 Years working in Low voltage systems engineering


Skills

  • Proven experience in LV electrical design automation and system based design
  • Proficient in using electrical design software, such as AUTOCAD, Eplan, Amtech, Revit, or similar
  • Familiar with IEC Standards and regulations
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English
  • Good communicator and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership on results
  • Works well within a fast-paced environment
