Role Summary

The Director of Technical – Global Snow will provide strategic and operational leadership across all technical, facilities, and sustainability functions for Global Snow. The role is accountable for ensuring world-class maintenance, facilities management, health and safety compliance, and sustainability integration across multiple snow and indoor ski facilities regionally and globally.

ROLE PROFILE

• Lead technical, facilities, and sustainability strategies across Global Snow assets, aligning with operational goals, safety standards, and corporate sustainability commitments.
• Ensure smooth technical operations during major redevelopments (e.g., Ski Dubai refurbishment), balancing continuity of guest experience with execution of large-scale technical projects.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all technical systems, including snowmaking, refrigeration plants, humidity control, insulation, and slope thermal balance.
• Ensure safe and reliable operations of chairlifts, ropeways, vertical transport systems, and grooming equipment in compliance with EN and ASTM standards.
• Drive Majid Al Futtaim’s Net Positive commitment, implementing energy-saving and CO₂-reduction measures across snow assets.
• Integrate sustainable practices into FM (waste recycling, eco-friendly chemicals, energy tracking).
• Champion a strong safety culture, embedding proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
• Oversee large-scale projects, from technical studies to design and commissioning of new snow facilities.
  
  

• 10–15 years of senior leadership in technical and facilities management, preferably in leisure, snow, ski resorts, or large-scale themed environments.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related Engineering field; advanced certifications in FM, Project Management, or Sustainability preferred.
• Proven track record in project management, lifecycle planning, and CAPEX delivery.
• Experience with sustainability programs, energy management, and digital transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and international technical standards.
• Experience in Ski Resorts/theme parks is a plus.
