Job Description

A Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction projects. This demanding and rewarding position involves overseeing and coordinating various construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications and safety protocols. As a Construction Manager, you act as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and on-site workers, ensuring that everyone is aligned and communication flows smoothly. You must be adept at problem-solving, managing resources efficiently, and making real-time decisions to address any challenges that arise during the construction process. Your detail-oriented nature and leadership skills will ensure projects achieve their intended outcomes and meet client expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects from start to finish.
  • Oversee budgeting, ordering materials, and manage project expenses efficiently.
  • Develop detailed project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment on-site.
  • Monitor progress of construction activities and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize project delays.
  • Supervise on-site personnel and workers, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations at all times.
  • Review and approve design modifications and change requests when necessary.
  • Prepare, present, and submit regular reports on project status and progress.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and local building codes.
