Commercial Loan Officer

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of business loan applications. This role requires thorough analysis of financial data, market conditions, and borrower credibility to ensure sound lending practices. The officer works closely with clients to understand their business needs and structure loan products accordingly while adhering to regulatory and risk management standards. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate creditworthiness of potential borrowers by analyzing financial statements and business plans.

• Originate, process, and approve commercial loan applications within authorized limits.

• Structure loan proposals that align with client needs and organizational risk guidelines.

• Perform detailed risk assessments and present findings to the credit committee.

• Develop and maintain client relationships to identify cross-sell opportunities.

• Monitor existing loan portfolios to ensure timely repayments and covenant compliance.

• Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and economic factors.

• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.

• Collaborate with legal and documentation teams for disbursal and contract execution.

• Provide clients with financial advice regarding loan products and services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.

• 4+ years of experience in commercial lending or banking.

• Strong analytical and credit assessment skills.

• In-depth knowledge of loan underwriting processes and risk evaluation.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
