Civil Site Engineer (225-622)

As a Civil Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing, designing, developing, and maintaining a variety of construction projects. Whether it be roads, buildings, dams, or any infrastructure-related project, your expertise will ensure these projects meet both safety standards and client specifications. Working closely with architects, other engineers, and clients, you will undertake technical, organizational, and supervisory responsibilities concerning construction projects. Your day-to-day duties will encompass everything from providing expert advice on construction and ensuring compliance with local regulations, to hands-on involvement at site level tasks. With your skills, you will balance various elements including budget, personnel, location, and logistics to ensure successful project delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of safety protocols, strong project management abilities, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects on-site.
• Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and others involved in the project execution phase.
• Ensure that all project specifications and regulations are observed and adhered to.
• Supervise daily operations of construction site to guarantee efficient progress.
• Assess project needs, propose solutions, and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
• Provide technical advice and assessments to support project planning and execution.
• Maintain accurate project records, including material inventory and labor reports.
• Inspect completed work to confirm adherence to technical plans and safety standards.
• Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of goals.
• Prepare site reports and leads construction project meetings for progress updates.
• Implement cost-effective solutions and strategies to ensure budgetary compliance.
• Manage risk and maintain compliance with safety and environmental legislation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience as a Civil Site Engineer or in a similar construction role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
• Strong field communication skills, with ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and design schematics accurately.
• Proficient in engineering software and tools, including CAD and project management software.
• Strong problem-solving and mental arithmetic skills to address site-related challenges.
• License or certification in civil engineering is highly desirable.
