Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions. Your work environment will span from offices to field sites, involving a blend of paperwork and practical, hands-on construction challenges. A knack for problem-solving and a strong foundation in engineering principles will be essential. You will contribute to projects that enhance urban infrastructure, impacting communities and environments significantly.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage infrastructure projects from inception to completion stages.
  • Conduct site audits to monitor progress and ensure project specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals.
  • Calculate load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors.
  • Ensure all compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is maintained.
  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets to maintain project financial viability.
  • Lead the project team in resolving any issues during the construction phase.
  • Evaluate environmental impacts of projects and propose mitigating solutions.
  • Research and apply new technologies to increase efficiency and sustainability.
  • Prepare documentation and present technical reports to stakeholders.
  • Review plans and specifications for accuracy and project requirements.
  • Ensure safety standards and protocols are implemented effectively on site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficient in industry-standard engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Knowledgeable about building codes and environmental regulations standards.
