The Opportunity

Our client, an expanding name in the food retail industry, is searching for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who can act as both a strategist and hands-on financial leader.

What You Will Do

• Growth & Expansion: Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape long-term growth initiatives, evaluating investments, new ventures, and acquisitions.
• Operational Finance: Oversee financial management across multi-unit operations, ensuring cost optimization, robust cash flow, and efficient allocation of resources.
• Technology & Systems: Lead the rollout and integration of ERP platforms, streamlining reporting, procurement, supply chain, and production data.
• Compliance & Governance: Safeguard the organization by ensuring strict adherence to tax regulations, audit standards, and IFRS reporting.
• Performance Insights: Build a strong framework of KPIs, dashboards, and analytics that enable informed decision-making across divisions.
• Team Development: Strengthen and inspire the finance function, fostering high performance and preparing the next generation of financial leaders.
• Risk & Resilience: Identify and mitigate exposure to market volatility, regulatory changes, and supply chain challenges.

What You Bring

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; postgraduate or professional certifications (MBA, CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• 10+ years in senior finance roles, with proven leadership at CFO or equivalent level.
• Strong track record in retail or consumer-facing industries, ideally food, with exposure to supermarkets, bakeries, or catering.
• Demonstrated success in financial planning, funding strategies, and profitability management.
• Hands-on ERP implementation experience and advanced use of financial modeling tools.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of the UAE financial and regulatory landscape.
