We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for woodworking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. As a Carpenter, you will be tasked with constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials. You will work in various settings, including construction sites, renovation projects, and manufacturing facilities. The role requires both independent initiative and collaboration with other tradespeople to deliver high-quality work that meets our company's standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to guide construction projects.
• Measure and cut materials with precision to ensure accuracy and reduce waste.
• Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power tools.
• Inspect and replace damaged frames and structures to maintain project quality standards.
• Assemble and fasten materials to build frameworks and support structures in place.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim.
• Supervise the use of tools and equipment, maintaining them safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with general contractors and other construction professionals to meet project specifications.
• Perform repairs and renovations of existing structures and fixtures as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe to prevent accidents and maintain efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of work completed.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans efficiently.
• Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction processes.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and industrial woodworking machinery.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and precision in workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges on the job.
• Functional physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a cohesive team environment.
• High school diploma; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with important safety guidelines and building codes for thorough compliance.
