Job Description

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the procurement processes within our organization. You will be responsible for selecting, buying, and monitoring the supply of goods that align with company needs and customer demands. Your expertise will ensure the company obtains quality products at competitive prices to maximize profitability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have keen negotiation skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. You will also be required to analyze purchasing trends and forecast future needs, balancing quality, price, and delivery specifications to maintain optimal inventory levels.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and select vendors and suppliers based on product quality and pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock to meet organizational needs.
  • Analyze purchasing patterns and market trends to optimize procurement processes.
  • Establish and maintain positive supplier relationships to encourage cooperation and reliability.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare procurement reports and forecasts for management review and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during procurement activities.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements in purchasing operations.
  • Supervise and guide junior procurement staff in the execution of their responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within an organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve favorable terms.
  • Excellent analytical skills for evaluating product prices, supplier performance, and market trends.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective supplier and stakeholder interactions.
