Job Description

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. They are responsible for managing projects, developing project plans, tracking performance, and identifying trends and insights that can aid in business decision-making. Business Analysts are critical thinkers who are highly skilled in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions. Their role is essential in helping organizations adapt to changes, ensure quality and efficiency in operations, and contribute to achieving strategic goals. Business Analysts often work closely with business clients, stakeholders, and IT teams, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in team-oriented environments.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate business processes and workflows for areas of improvement.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Create project plans and track progress against timelines and milestones accurately.
  • Develop comprehensive reports with data-driven recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to align stakeholders on requirements and solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends that affect the business.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in business process re-engineering and change initiatives.
  • Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new projects.
  • Ensure that solutions meet business objectives and customer satisfaction is maintained consistently.
  • Participate in quality assurance and testing activities for solution validation.
  • Stay informed on industry practices and emerging technologies that can enhance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both team-oriented and independent settings.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools for effective planning and execution.
