BIM Manager

The role of a BIM Manager is pivotal in the successful implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) within construction projects. As a BIM Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the production and approval of building information models which streamline the design, planning, and construction processes. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the effective collaboration among project teams including architects, engineers, and construction professionals. Furthermore, you will keep abreast with the latest technologies and industry standards to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of BIM practices in the organization. The position demands a detail-oriented individual with excellent leadership and communication skills to manage the multifaceted responsibilities involved in BIM workflows, ultimately driving innovation and enhancing project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development and implementation of BIM standards for projects.
• Facilitate and manage team training sessions related to BIM practices and software.
• Coordinate BIM activities to ensure data integrity and consistency across projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate BIM into project execution plans effectively.
• Ensure compliance with industry BIM standards and organizational protocols at all times.
• Oversee and guide the completion and maintenance of project-specific BIM Execution Plans.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within BIM workflows.
• Support the design and construction teams in utilizing BIM tools optimally for project delivery.
• Manage the transition of BIM data to facilitate seamless facilities management post-construction.
• Act as a primary point of contact for BIM-related queries across project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain libraries of BIM components and templates for organizational use.
• Analyze and evaluate project-specific BIM data to inform future project directions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in BIM management or coordination.
• Proficiency in BIM authoring tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is necessary.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM methodologies and industry standards is essential.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration between various stakeholders.
• Ability to plan, manage, and execute BIM strategies within project timelines and budgets.
