Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative BIM Lead - Mechanical to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our Building Engineering practice, you will lead the development and execution of BIM strategies for mechanical engineering projects, working across our Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of BIM strategies in alignment with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project specifications, and industry standards.
  • Oversee the creation and coordination of MEP models and drawings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integration across all disciplines.
  • Conduct clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and Revizto, and coordinate resolution of design conflicts across trades.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing BIM workflows, tools, and procedures to improve efficiency and design quality.
  • Participate in the assessment and adoption of advanced BIM tools and technologies to optimize project delivery.
  • Perform self-checks and technical quality reviews of BIM deliverables, ensuring documentation aligns with project and company standards.
  • Participate in client meetings to present BIM strategies, address technical queries, and support project coordination.
  • Develop and maintain BIM templates, high-level Revit families, shared parameters, and scheduling tools to support project needs.
  • Support project teams in model setup, drawing package development, and coordination of BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for BIM-related issues across projects.
  • May supervise and mentor junior BIM staff, coordinating the activities of a small team to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  • Maintain effective communication with architectural, structural, and other design teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with relevant codes, permitting processes, and BIM software applications related to MEP design.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in building projects, with a focus on BIM implementation
  • Proven expertise in BIM modeling and coordination, particularly in mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in BIM software, especially Revit MEP
  • Advanced skills in clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and Revizto
  • Experience in creating and managing BIM templates, families, shared parameters, and schedules
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building codes
  • Familiarity with industry codes, permits, and software applications related to mechanical engineering
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Innovative mindset with a drive to improve processes and adopt new technologies
  • Flexibility to work across Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices as needed
