Job Description

As an Automotive Workshop Manager, you will take on a pivotal role at the helm of our automotive service department. Charged with ensuring the seamless operation of our workshop, your expertise will guide our technical team in delivering exceptional service and timely completion of repairs and maintenance. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of automotive systems and superior managerial abilities. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, interfacing with customers, and ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service quality. Your leadership will inspire the team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction within the workshop.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the automotive workshop to ensure efficiency.
  • Manage and supervise a team of technicians and administrative staff.
  • Ensure that vehicles are serviced and repaired on time and to quality standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance workshop workflow.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work to align with customer deadlines and requests.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to improve team performance.
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of parts and tools to prevent shortages.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing on parts and equipment.
  • Maintain and uphold a safe and clean working environment according to regulations.
  • Develop reports on workshop operations and present findings to upper management.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to apply best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Workshop Manager or similar role for at least 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, products, and workshop operations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills to motivate staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with both customers and staff members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer or operational issues efficiently.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, regulations, and compliance in automotive services.
  • Proficiency in using automotive software and technology for daily operations.
  • Candidate must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
