Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Collection Manager to join our Fintech Company.
The Collection Manager is responsible for leading and managing the collection team to maximize
recovery of outstanding payments while minimizing financial risk and bad debt. The role involves
developing collection strategies, setting goals, monitoring portfolio performance, and mentoring
collection officers. The Collection Manager plays a key role in protecting the company's cash flow and
financial health by reducing overdue accounts and improving collection processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement collection strategies, policies, and procedures in line with company
goals.
Lead and supervise the collection team, providing guidance, training, and performance
reviews.
Monitor and analyze collection reports and portfolios to track progress and identify problem
accounts.
andle escalated cases, negotiate settlements with delinquent clients, and resolve disputes.
Establish payment plans or settlements for overdue accounts while minimizing financial
losses.
Liaise with legal department or external agencies for recovery of hard-to-collect amounts.
· Prepare management reports on collection performance, portfolio health, and progress against
targets.
· Foster positive relationships with key clients and stakeholders to facilitate payments.
· Ensure collection practices follow regulatory and legal guidelines.
· Implement technological solutions and process improvements to enhance collection
efficiency.
· Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable, with at least 2
years in a supervisory or management role.
· Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and fairly.
· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
