Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the development, implementation, and monitoring of ADNOC Gas’s ESG strategy and initiatives. The role ensures alignment with international sustainability standards and ADNOC Group’s corporate objectives, contributing to responsible business practices and stakeholder engagement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in the design and rollout of ESG frameworks, policies, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor ESG compliance across business units and support internal audits and reporting.
  • Conduct ESG risk assessments and contribute to mitigation planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG into operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare ESG disclosures and reports in line with GRI, SASB, and ADNOC standards.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, including community outreach and advocacy.
  • Track global ESG trends and recommend improvements to ADNOC Gas’s sustainability practices.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 years of experience, including at least

Knowledge:

  • ESG frameworks and international standards (IFC, EBRD, ADB, IDB).
  • Social Impact Assessment and stakeholder engagement planning.
  • Corporate sustainability reporting and performance tracking.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication and report writing.
  • Ability to influence across multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration
