Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our software development team. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring that our software products meet quality standards. Your role is essential in delivering reliable and user-friendly software solutions to our clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Create detailed and comprehensive test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and software requirements. Define test objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure software quality. Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing as required.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects using issue-tracking tools. Clearly communicate defects to developers and work closely to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using appropriate testing tools. Automate repetitive test cases to improve testing efficiency.
  • Create and manage test data, ensuring that test scenarios cover different data sets and conditions.
  • Maintain detailed records of test plans, test cases, test results, and defects. Produce testing documentation for reference and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to clarify requirements and ensure clear communication throughout the testing process.
  • Continuously enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall quality assurance process, promoting a culture of quality within the development team. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in manual testing and experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail for identifying defects and ensuring software quality.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and interact with team members.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Time management skills to meet project deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and scripting languages is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic may be advantageous for certain roles.
