Site Engineer – QA/QC (225-1002)

As a Site Engineer specializing in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), you will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects meet required standards and specifications. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining high quality levels throughout the project lifecycle, from the initial phase to completion. You will be responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Your ability to work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and clients will be essential to delivering quality projects on time and within budget. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC protocols and standards ensuring compliance.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate QA/QC processes.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Document and report on QA/QC issues, preparing corrective action plans when needed.
• Manage onsite materials testing and inspection to verify compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with external inspectors and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance.
• Train site staff on QA/QC requirements and best practices to maintain high standards.
• Monitor and evaluate subcontractors' performance in accordance with QA/QC guidelines.
• Continuously review and update QA/QC procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of quality on site.
• Maintain detailed records of all QA/QC activities for future reference and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is essential for the role.
• Proven experience in a similar QA/QC engineering role, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex quality issues.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with diverse project teams.
• Certification in quality management systems or QA/QC is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with QA/QC software and tools used in the construction industry.
