Job Description

The role of a Senior Project Manager is a critical position within any organization, tasked with the strategic oversight, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will leverage your extensive experience to ensure projects are accomplished on time, within scope, and within budget, aligning with the company’s objectives. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional project management tasks, requiring you to lead large, cross-functional teams, resolve high-level project management issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to align goals and expectations. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies to drive success in large-scale projects. You will act as a bridge between various departments, ensuring cohesive effort and synergy towards common objectives, and providing insights and adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of complex projects across various business units.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines for all projects.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for successful project completion.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Regularly report and escalate issues to senior management as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and project stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks and manage risk response plans.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to processes and project methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of project management experience in complex projects.
  • Proven experience managing a team in a lead or senior role.
  • Extensive understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
