Job Description

Salary Range: 32,000 AED to 34,000 AED Monthly


Simulator Training

  • Supervise and monitor pseudo pilots during simulator exercises and manage the overall operation of the exercises
  • Update and manage the CBE (Computer Based Examination) PCs both in ACC and EACC
  • Enact Pilot’s role during exercises in the ATC simulator.
  • Act as Flight Data Processor during simulator exercises.
  • Act as simulator exercise support by communicating as external/internal unit.
  • Perform OJT of Pseudo Pilots.

Technical Competency

  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant parts of PANS ATM and ICAO documents, Emirates AIP, and Local ATC Instructions of the UAE ACC.
  • Undergo periodic competency checking in handling of simulator duties.

Training equipment readiness

  • Participate in testing, configuration and commissioning of relevant equipment and software relating to the simulator and its upgrades as and when needed.
  • Assist in keeping all relevant TRN data and documentation up to date.
  • Maintain a through operational knowledge and understanding of the equipment and systems used for the provision of ATS in the UAE FIR.
  • Bring to the attention of ATSIs any occurrence or system failure that will affect the simulator.

Training Administrative Support

  • Liaise with ATSIs regarding the daily simulator schedule
  • Conduct back up operations for the simulator systems and data
  • Manage the classrooms (allocation of classrooms, stationery, books, and manuals for various training courses conducted)
  • Supervise preparation of documents for ad hoc technical related courses or as required by ATSIs
  • Assist ATSIs in collating data and preparing exercises for the simulator.
  • Complete progress reports on trainee Pseudo Pilots and discuss the contents with the trainees, other OJTIs and management
  • Provide administrative support to Senior ATSIs.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards

Other Tasks/ Accountability

  • Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

High School certificate education or diploma with 2 years’ experience in a relevant discipline or in the aviation industry.
