Senior Officer - Fleet

Job Description

The role holder is responsible for overseeing effective and efficient repairs and maintenance of vehicles following approved manufacturers repair techniques with an aim to maximize the utilization of the fleet and minimize vehicle downtime in workshop. Follow up with insurers for approvals on accident repairs within the stipulated time and repairs are promptly undertaken by the workshop. Minimize exposure to the Company by carrying out repairs under warranty with respective agencies where applicable. Perform quality control checks to ensure the quality of repairs and spare parts used by the contracted workshops are of high standards and to ensure smooth functioning, high on road reliability and minimal recurring issues on fleet vehicles. Monitor and ensure uninterrupted operation of all onsite equipments related to fuelling, Water treatment plant, Carwash, ANPR cameras, digital signboards, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directs repairs and maintenance of vehicles ensuring minimum downtime for repairs and maintenance as per the agreed SLA.
• This role is an Operational role.
  
  

• Maintain high utilizations levels as per the agreed KPIs.
• Ensuring quality spare parts are used and high standard of workmanship is maintained to minimise recurring issues.
• Monitoring the spare parts warranty before replacement.
• Maintains accurate records of all fleet and equipment repairs and maintenance in Fleet Management system.
• Place Orders for bulk fuel purchase based on average daily fuel consumption.
• On receipt of fuel tankers (daily) ensure to check for the seals before offloading of fuel and signing off PDN.
• Order chemicals for Water treatment plant.
• Monitors drivers for negligence of required vehicle services and reports to management if further action is required.
• Collate and share data on a quarterly basis on disposal of general scrap, used oil and batteries.
  
  

• Sets performance goals at the beginning of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
• Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role.
• Identifies the training and development requirements for self to ensure on going capability development.
  
  

• Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls.
• Implements approved policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  
  

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma (Engineering is preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  
  

• Sound working knowledge on mechanics of Japanese and Korean automobiles.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Excel.
• Basic computer skills to use FMS.
  
  

• Experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to work under pressure.
