Job Description

As a Senior Manager in Facilities Management, you will lead and oversee the maintenance and operations of facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and effective use of space, resources, and infrastructure. Your role will encompass strategic planning, budgeting, and coordination with various departments to align facilities management with organizational goals. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while driving initiatives to enhance sustainability and energy efficiency. Additionally, your leadership will guide teams in managing maintenance schedules, renovations, and infrastructure projects, promoting a proactive approach to facilities management. Your experience will be critical in optimizing space utilization, implementing cost-effective measures, and delivering top-tier service to support the organization’s overall mission.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for facilities management and operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Create and manage budgets, monitoring expenses to achieve financial goals.
  • Lead initiatives to improve sustainability and increase energy efficiency across facilities.
  • Coordinate space allocations, ensuring optimal use of space within the organization.
  • Supervise and support the professional development of facilities management staff.
  • Plan and manage renovation and construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for facility-related services and supplies.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition and compliance of facilities.
  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans for all sites.
  • Foster strong relationships with departments and stakeholders to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in facilities management or a related area.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing diverse teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and plan strategically for facilities operations.
  • Experience with project management, particularly with large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with vendors and stakeholders.
