Job Description

A Senior Design Manager is a pivotal role within an organization that focuses on leading and directing the design team to produce creative, user-centric designs for products or services. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user experience objectives and deliverables.
  • Oversee the entire design process, including conceptualization, prototyping, and final execution.
  • Ensure design consistency and quality across all projects and platforms.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers to foster skill development and career growth.
  • Conduct regular design reviews to gather feedback and ensure project alignment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to drive innovation and creativity.
  • Manage design resources, including time, budget, and external partnerships.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders for approval and feedback.
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles and best practices within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain a design culture that promotes collaboration, creativity, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in design management roles.
  • Proven track record of leading successful design projects from start to finish.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate the design team.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for stakeholder presentations.
  • Strong understanding of user experience, user interface design principles and practices.
