Job Description

As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in driving the success and growth of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, provide exemplary service, and effectively manage sales transactions. The ideal candidate will be both sales-driven and customer-focused, exhibiting a friendly demeanor and keen attention to detail. You will contribute to the store’s income by achieving sales objectives and enhancing the customer service experience. You will work collaboratively with other sales associates and management to ensure a welcoming environment that promotes customer satisfaction and loyalty. Your ability to identify and fulfill customer needs will be instrumental in driving sales and ensuring a rewarding shopping experience.


Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product selection and provide information to facilitate purchases.
  • Track personal sales and aim to meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and product displays.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point of sale system.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in regular product training sessions to improve product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
  • Replenish stock levels and organize store inventory when needed.
  • Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns to drive sales.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and share feedback with the management team.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to build long-term customer relationships.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including locking up and cash handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • Proven experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Basic algebra skills for handling cash and sales transaction calculations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift stock when necessary.
