Job Description

A Sales Associate plays a crucial role in driving the company’s sales efforts and expanding its customer base. Positioned at the frontlines of the organization, the Sales Associate is responsible for engaging with prospective and existing customers, providing them with valuable product information, and offering excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships. Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product selections that meet their specific needs.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of product features and benefits.
  • Achieve and exceed personal and team sales targets set by management.
  • Effectively manage point-of-sale processes including cash and card transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships for repeat business.
  • Keep abreast of new products, competition, and industry trends to share insights.
  • Communicate customer feedback and suggestions to management for improvement.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Organize and replenish merchandise on the sales floor and displays as required.
  • Execute promotional campaigns and marketing strategies to boost customer engagement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required for this position.
  • Previous experience in a sales role or similar customer service position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of sales and customer service principles and practices desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections gracefully.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale software and related sales systems.
  • A positive attitude with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
