Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of workers, equipment, and the environment at construction sites. They play a crucial role in preventing accidents, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the construction project.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify safety hazards.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety violations.
  • Implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate future incidents.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policy
  • Keep abreast of new developments in safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites, equipment, and tools.
  • Identify and address safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, accidents, and incidents.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on the status of safety compliance and performance.
  • Investigate the construction site to ascertain equipment, production, and material processes do not pose a safety or health hazard to employees, work guests, and the general public.
  • Create, evaluate, and implement health and safety programs and strategies.
  • Review and approve all subcontractors’ safety plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or a related field (relevant certifications and experience may substitute for formal education).
  • Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Proficiency in safety management systems and software.
  • Tarakhees and DDA approved.
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Ability to develop and implement safety programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Valid Driving License within UAE
